Jot Magazine September Moodboard

I was lucky enough to get some time today to finish off my layout inspired by the September Moodboard at Jot Magazine
and just in time too!

Here is my layout. I was inspired by the 'happy' sentiment of the board, and of course the colour palette.

I've used papers from the Teresa Collins 'Something Wonderful' 6x6 paper pad, which fit in perfectly with the moodboard.

I've used my Heidi Swapp 'Happy' die to cut the word from watercolour paper that I coloured with pink gelatos, then again in black cardstock to make a shadow.

I've used embellies from Charm's Creations and Flutterby Designs (love the new foiled flair!!)

Scrap The Boys September Challenge

The challenge this month at Scrap The Boys is a sketch.

Here is my layout. I have flipped the sketch to be a mirror image.

I challenged myself to use hot pink on a 'boy' layout. I think it worked well with the pink cupcake in the photo.

I've used items that I have been hoarding from the May Pocket Life kit from Scrappy Canary until I found just the right photo - papers from Dear Lizzy "Fine And Dandy" collection, ephemera from Elles' Studio "Let's Eat' collection, and Pinkfresh puffy stickers.

Here are some close ups-

I found these little hot air balloon embellies - aren't they cute!

Sassy Scrapper/Charm's Creations September Challenges

The challenge this month at Sassy Scrappers is a sketch
plus the word 'SPRING'.

Here is my layout-

I've used a really cute ephemera pack I found at The Reject Shop
- yep that's right! I thought it was perfect for
my cute little 'Explorer'!

I'm also entering this layout in the Charm's Creations September challenge, which is also a sketch,
which I simply flipped upside down.

Aren't these Butterfly Heavenly hearts perfect
for my 'Wild Thing'?!

Kraft + September Challenge - TRI HARD

I really love the way the challenges at Kraft Plus are definitely out of the box and push everyone's creativity. I was too daunted to have a go at the previous month's Zentangle challenge, but this month is a sketch challenge, so I found it a bit easier to participate.

Here is my layout.

I decided to do a bright, crazy layout to document a funny story about my night-owl 2.5 year old.

I have used some embellies from Charm's Creations.

Close up of the journalling.

Scrap The Girls September Challenge

The challenge this month at Scrap The Girls is a sketch challenge.

 Here is my layout-

I've used mostly project life cards as layers, along with lots of local hand-made embellies: an arrow from Charm's Creations, a book print chipboard heart from Burdy's Embellies, a butterfly from Rainbow Splendour, and I finished off the layout with some washi and tiny word stickers.

A quick close up of the journalling.

Show Us Your Stuff September Challenge

Another awesome challenge this month at Show Us Your Stuff-

I don't get much of a chance to scrap with hot pink, so I thought this was a great opportunity.
I bought these absolutely gorgeous tulips for my sister when she was in hospital, and I just had to take a photo and scrap them.
Really happy with how it turned out.

As usual my hand-made item is from Charm's Creations.

Scrapping Clearly September Moodboard Challenge

I thought I would have a go at the Moodboard Challenge
from Scrapping Clearly this month.

Here is my layout.

I was inspired by the colour palette, and I have
also used some anchor paper as a border.

Some close ups too. I am really loving the new
releases from Flutterby Designs.

Deer And Fawn Designs September Challenge

The challenge at Deer And Fawn Designs this month is to use ORANGE and black and/or white.

Here is what I came up with. I love how striking a black and orange palette is.

Here are some close ups. I kept the embellishments to a minimum because the orange straws were so dramatic.

I have to admit I have seen a lot of inspiration on Pinterest lately of orange and black projects, mainly because it is coming up to Halloween. I based my layout on a project by the beautifully talented Jen Hadfield. You can see here original Halloween wreath project here
