Charm's Creations October challenge

The mood board for the October challenge at Charm's Creations is just gorgeous!

And here's what I came up with. I just love the earthy colour palette. My background paper is Crate Paper, and just so perfect for this mood board.

I've used a 'Bright' orange heart.

I've also used a chevron in my title cluster.

I've used a Terrific tab in my corner cluster.

Off The Rails Scrapbooking October Mood Board Challenge

I absolutely love this month's moodboard at Off The Rails Scrapbooking- the colours just say summer at the beach to me. I love summer and being at the beach, and I love scrapping about beach days too.

Here is a look at the mood board. The other requirement for the challenge was to use paints or inks.

Here is my layout. I was inspired by the jetty picture, and of course the colour palette. These are absolutely 'me' colours.
I just love how it turned out.

I used Semco 'Ocean' and Jo Sonja's 'Aqua' acrylic paints for my background. I also added some splatters of white paint, which I think gives much more dimension than ink splatters.

I've used a couple of Kaisercraft paper blooms, and also ephemera from the 'Sandy Toes' Collectables pack.
I've used 3 different DIY embellishments from Charm's Creations, that I have coloured with mists.
My title, 'Best Ever', is from Dear Lizzy.

I've used some Amy Tangerine ephemera pieces,
and flair from Flutterby Designs.

I've finished off my layout with some brads, sequins
and of course enamel dots.

Scrap Around The World October 2015 Challenge 30- "You & Me"

I have been following the monthly challenges at Scrap Around The World for some time, but when I saw this month's mood board I knew I had to give it a go.
The fabulous mood board has been designed by Heather McMahon and looks like this-

Here is my layout. I was inspired by the rainbow colour background with white writing over the top (top left picture), and I was also inspired to use the quote itself.

I  used a Mister Huey's ampersand mask and sprayed it with different colour sprays. I changed the quote ever so slightly, and I always try to include my handwriting on my layouts.

I embellished with an assortment of paper flowers, Studio Calico wooden hearts and some flair from D'Lish Scraps and Flutterby Designs.

I finished off the page with some star glitter - I have to have a little bit of bling!

Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia October challenge

Today I'm playing along with the October challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. The challenge this month is a sketch which looks like this.

And here is what I came up with.
This is such a fun page, and was fun to make too!
I really like the fun, bright colours, and my cheeky subject too of course!

I've used texture paste coloured with spray mist,
then through a stencil to make my background,
and lots of ink splats from my Tim Holtz ink dabber.

Some close ups.

I've used lots of flair and of course tiny word stickers.

I really like these book-page chipboard stars from Burdy's Embellies.

Jot Magazine October Moodboard Challenge- 'Love This Journey'

Another absolutely stunning mood board challenge at Jot Magazine this month. Such a beautiful colour palette, and I love seeing the amazing interpretations from the Jot Girls.

Here is my layout. I really love this moment of my husband carrying our son on his shoulders.

For the water-colour element I have made some soft ink splatters across the white space at the top of the page.
I used a card from the Pink Paislee 'Atlas' range cutapart sheet which matched the mood board absolutely perfectly!

I painted part of the Heidi Swapp wood veneer to make the arrow really underlining the word.

And as usual I finished off with some embellies from Charm's Creations and Flutterby Designs.

Scrap The Boys October Challenge

Another awesome mood board challenge this month at Scrap The Boys, with very nature-inspired images. I generally scrap masculine layouts the majority of the time, and I'm really enjoying the wood-grain trend at the moment, especially for backgrounds.

Here is my layout.

I was inspired by the top right image of the arrow and the 'Follow Your Own Path' quote. I've also used the colour palette, the colours just work so well together.

I've deliberately placed my subject looking off the page, in a representation of the 'do your own thing/ rebellion' kind of theme of the quote.

Of course I had to add an embellie from Charm's Creations! I've also used some brand new embellies from Flutterby Designs.

I've lifted my numbers strip on some foam tape to add some dimension.

D'Lish Scraps October Inspiration Board Challenge

What a bright and happy Inspiration board this month at D'Lish Scraps!

Here is my layout. I really love the bright colour palette- the bright primary colours really stand out against a wood-grain background.

I was also inspired by the pinwheels on the inspiration board and have aded a couple of stamped pinwheels.

I've heat embossed the wood veneer  'hello' to make it really stand out.
I love the bright yellow for my title.

I've also used some star stickers as a mask before I sprayed my background, then peeled the stickers off to reveal the white underneath.
